A light decontamination add-on that removes bonded contamination a normal wash leaves behind — tar spots, iron fallout and grime stuck to the paint — so the surface feels noticeably smoother before your chosen finish. Particularly noticeable on white and light-coloured cars.

What's Happening to Your Paint?

Even after a thorough wash, contamination stays bonded to your paintwork: microscopic iron particles from brake dust and industrial fallout, tar from the road, and stubborn grime. On white and light-coloured cars iron can appear as tiny rust-coloured spots, and the paint can feel rough to the touch. Washing alone won't shift it.

1. Wash

Your car is washed as part of your chosen package first.

2. Clay-Towel Decontamination

A rinseless solution is used as lubrication while a clay towel is worked over the paint, mechanically lifting bonded contamination from the surface.

3. Tar & Iron Treatment

A dedicated tar remover is applied where needed, then an iron fallout remover (such as Bilt Hamber Korrosol) reacts with embedded iron particles, turning purple as it dissolves them.

4. Rinse & Finish

Everything is rinsed away and your package continues as normal, so your finish goes onto a cleaner, smoother surface.

Evolution Detailing is a mobile service based in Hillfield - Solihull. We come to your location for your convenience!

Travel Policy: Mobile service is included within Solihull and up to 5 miles from our location. For locations beyond 5 miles, a small travel fee applies:

  • 5-10 miles: £5
  • 10-15 miles: £10
  • 15-20 miles: £15
  • Beyond 20 miles: £20

Common questions about our detailing services

Service duration varies depending on the package and your vehicle's condition. Clean typically takes 45-60 minutes, Finish around an hour, and Complete (inside & out) around 2-2.5 hours. We'll provide you with a more accurate timeframe when you book your appointment.

We recommend removing any personal belongings and valuables from your vehicle before our arrival. This allows us to clean all areas thoroughly without having to move your items. If you're getting an interior service, clearing out trash and large items will help us focus on the detailing process.

We accept cash, card payments, and bank transfers. For mobile bookings (we come to you), a 50% deposit is paid by card when you book, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the service. For drop-off bookings there's nothing to pay when you book: you pay on the day.

In case of severe weather conditions that would affect the quality of our service, we'll contact you to reschedule your appointment. We'll always discuss options with you if weather becomes an issue.

For optimal results, we recommend a Complete valet every 3-4 months, with Maintain visits in between. However, this can vary based on your driving conditions, vehicle usage, and personal preferences. We're happy to recommend a maintenance schedule tailored to your specific needs.
